Prime Minister Spencer said that the meeting is addressing a number of important issues to LIAT at this juncture in the airline’s history to include the Hanger Fire at the V.C. Bird International Airport on June 10. The leaders are also looking at a number of presentations for the reconstruction of the said hanger along with a new office block which was also destroyed by fire.
It is also anticipated that the major shareholders will look at recommendations to remove non-profitable routes from LIAT’s itinerary and the status of the current fleet of the airline. The Chairman Dr. Jean Holder and the CEO Mr. Brian Challenger will also present reports.
Prime Minister Spencer is accompanied by Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture Minister the Hon. John Maginley.
